• Separation: First, open the bottle and separate the cap from the tumbler. The cap usually includes a thin layer of plastic that acts as insulation in the gap. Therefore, it cannot be cleaned in the same way the bottle does. 

• Rinsing: Rinse both the bottle and the cap with water and soap. For this purpose, any simple kitchen soap can also be used. Avoid letting the stainless steel water bottle stand in soapy water. While there won’t be any chemical side effects, your next beverage may end up having a soapy tinge.

• Resting: Let the bottle cap rest in warm water for several minutes. If the bottle cap separates into multiple parts without breaking, keep them in separate bowls. 

• Wiping Down: Use a warm kitchen towel or tissues to clean out the small nooks and crannies of the bottle. 

• Boiling: If your personalized insulated water bottle needs to be sanitized, you can boil the cup in water for 5-10 minutes.
